The Smart School System™

A school that notices. And knows how to help.

Most schools discover a learner is struggling too late. The Smart School System™ closes that window: every learner, every subject, every day, with teachers stepping in before a gap compounds.

It’s the reason we can put our fees behind a university pass. We aren’t waiting for the report card to find out.

A university pass, explained

What is a Bachelor’s pass in Matric?

A Bachelor’s pass, often called a university pass, is a National Senior Certificate endorsed for admission to bachelor’s degree studies. It’s the minimum you need to apply for a degree at a South African university. To achieve one, a Grade 12 learner needs:

  • 40%or more in their Home Language
  • 50%or more in four designated subjects (Life Orientation doesn’t count)
  • 30%or more in the language of learning and teaching
  • 6 of 7subjects passed in total

The three Matric passes

A Diploma pass opens diploma study and a Higher Certificate pass opens higher certificate courses. The Matric Guarantee is for the Bachelor’s pass, the one that opens degree study.

Universities still set their own bar

Universities and individual courses set their own entry requirements, often an APS score, and places depend on availability. A Bachelor’s pass lets your child apply.

A normal school day

90% attendance. 90% of the work. 90% on time.

That’s what we ask of your child every term. Attending, doing the work and handing it in on time are the habits our results data links most closely to a Bachelor’s pass.

  • Grade 8, 9 or 10 in 2027, with classes, on IEB or SACAI

  • 90% attendance, coursework and on-time assessments, every term

  • Tuition fees paid from 2027 to the end of Grade 12

  • Claim within 60 days of results, paid within 30 days of approval

Miss a condition and only the guarantee stops. Your child keeps their place, teaching, support and fees exactly as before.

Progress over time

Every kind of learner.
Progress that builds.

Chasing better academic performance. Finding their feet. Learning differently. We spot the gaps, start the support and help your child move forward.
