
Teneo learners have again achieved exceptional results at the 2025 South African Olympiads, earning a total of 56 medals across eight subject areas including Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
The South African Olympiads are prestigious national competitions that test learners' knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills across various subjects. Thousands of learners from schools nationwide participate each year, with medals awarded to top performers.
Teneo learners excelled in the national competitions, earning:
25 gold medals
17 silver medals
14 bronze medals
Teneo School achieved an impressive 85% medal rate across all participants, with five subjects achieving a perfect 100% medal rate – a remarkable showcase of academic excellence and consistency.

Mathematics led the charge with 25 participants, who achieved outstanding results:
Emilee Longo, Azaydon Lakbaran, Azayleah Lakbaran, Hemani Naidoo, and Nathan Hendrik Bam each received a gold medal.
Nine silver medals were awarded to the following learners: Voninga Maluleke, Hannah Osborne, Leandri Botha, Muhammad Muhiuddin Khan, James Drummond, Luan Botha, Sumia Visagie, Jashvik Kovelamudi, and Mishaye Govan
Rebeckah Le Roux, Rebecca Laubscher, Abigail Bottger, and Carla Kruger all received bronze medals.
Natural Sciences showcased strong performance with seven participants:
Azaydon Lakbaran, Azayleah Lakbaran, Muhammad Muhiuddin, Leandri Botha, and Sumia Visagie each received a gold medal.
Maryam Khan received a silver medal.
Mianke Geldenhuys was awarded a bronze medal.
Natural Sciences (Technology) achieved perfect results as Kitana Inderpal and Hemani Naidoo each received a gold medal.
Coding & Robotics demonstrated digital excellence with six participants:
One gold medal awarded to Muhammad Muhiuddin.
Hemani Naidoo, Jashvik Kovelamudi, and James Drummond each received a silver medal.
Emilee Longo received a bronze medal.
Economic and Management Sciences impressed with six participants:
Four gold medals awarded to the following Teneo learners: Azaydon Lakbaran, Azayleah Lakbaran, Tanav Gopal, and Muhammad Muhiuddin.
Two bronze medals awarded to Rebeckah Le Roux and Sumia Visagie.
Business Studies showed strong commercial acumen with five participants:
Two gold medals awarded to Aiden Haffajee and Tirhannah Nero.
Three bronze medals awarded to Hayley Van Der Schyff, Reuben Geldenhuys, and Sithabisile Olerato Khoncha.
English achieved 100% medal rate:
Six gold medals awarded to the following Teneo learners: Azayleah Lakbaran, Kitana Inderpal, Luan Botha, Hemani Naidoo, Emilee Longo and Mishaye Govan.
Three silver medals awarded to Aiden Alvin Naicker, Muhammad Muhiuddin and Zane Marandu.
One bronze medal awarded to Rebeckah Le Roux.
