Balancing books and beats: How Teneo helps Nkosinathi succeed in school and dance

For Grade 11 learner Nkosinathi, success means more than just good marks — it’s about passion, purpose, and balance.

A top Teneo learner and accomplished hip hop dancer, Nkosinathi balances his academic goals with his creative dreams. Through live lessons, supportive teachers, and flexible online learning, he powers through his studies by day and perfects his choreography by night — proving that discipline and creativity can thrive side by side.

His talent and dedication have earned him impressive recognition on South Africa’s dance scene. Nkosinathi placed first at the A-Arts Club Championships, second at Hip Hop International, and first again at the Talent Africa Regionals, where he qualified for Nationals and earned an A+ symbol across his competitions.

With ambitions to study Computer Science at UCT and gain international recognition in dance, Nkosinathi shows that with determination, talent, and the right support, learners don’t have to choose between their passions and their potential — they can have it all.
