How we teach Pre-Primary

We focus on integrated learning. This means a mix of live classroom lessons and some offline activities that we ask parents to facilitate. Live lessons are recorded and can be played again if the child needs it. This approach is important for Pre-Primary students, who are still learning the foundational skills they need to progress through formal schooling. Your support makes all the difference.

Classes are 30 minutes in length, with a 30-minute break built into the school day to ensure little minds don’t get too tired.

Live

Participate in a full school day’s scheduled live lessons taught by qualified teachers according to your daily timetable. All live lessons are recorded to revisit later.

Pre-Primary lessons are focused on concept-based learning, designed to stimulate early childhood development. Our goal is to support little learners to get “school-ready” in an enhanced, digital environment.

Activities Include:

Your child will enjoy a varied timetable of classes and activities that include numeracy, reading and writing, dancing, movement, art and painting, singing, crafting and more.

What parents need to know:

You’ll have regular parent-teacher meetings.
Daily online classes will be hosted by qualified Pre-Primary teachers.
You’ll facilitate offline activities, with guidance from pre-primary school teachers.

What your child needs:

Your child needs a dedicated, quiet learning zone.

Yes. You have the option to choose between two different examination boards – SACAI or the IEB – in order to complete your Matric.

After I complete my Matric with Teneo, will I be able to apply to South African tertiary institutions for further studies?

Yes, once you successfully complete your Matric certification, you may apply to tertiary institutions in South Africa and abroad.
