British International Curriculum

International GCSE

Welcome to International GCSE

International GCSE is an 18-month programme of six terms in total. In order to start Int. GCSE, students must have passed Grade 9, 10 or 11 in the SA curriculum. Students will start in January and finish by taking their exams in May/June of 2025.

Students need to take a minimum of six subjects, and should check entrance requirements at their prospective university before selecting their subjects.

Our goal is not only to drive your child’s academic success, but to develop their knowledge application and conceptual understanding so they become well-rounded thinkers, ready to compete in the real world, at the highest level.

Teachers who make the difference

Read our parent reviews

Brenda

Brenda, 5 Star Review Parent

I love the fact that teaching takes place in a transparent manner. As a Teneo parent, you can monitor how your child behaves and interacts with others, and how the teacher treats your child. I like the fact that we can go back to recorded classes in case our child did not catch up in live classes or is struggling with the content. What I love most is that there is no peer pressure around marks. My child’s marks are confidential and cannot be compared with those of their classmates – they’re for the parents’ eyes only. I am a very happy and satisfied parent.

Shanal

Shanal Nair, 5 Star Review Parent

The meeting held with Teacher Zana was nothing short of amazing. The feedback on Scarlet was concise in every way. We would like to thank her for her guidance; our daughter has developed into a confident and capable child. Thank you for being such an important part in our child’s development. Your expertise in teaching has put our minds at ease. We are so grateful to have you as our child’s teacher.
Thandeka

Thandeka Mabindisa, 5 Star Review Parent

My 7 year old son in Grade is struggling with expressing himself when communicating, he speaks too fast and most times he finds it hard to string a coherent sentence. Teneo Teachers did not put any labels on my son. His progress is amazing. He can read well, he is very good at Mathematics and doing well in Afrikaans (a language he started this year) I am so pleased with Teneo Education, their system and the teachers’ patience make a difference in a child’s esteem. I am very happy with this school.
